"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Personal Notes:
Note: I use my homemade grapefruit marmalade to replace pineapple preserves when I am unable to find pineapple preserves...... Both ways taste great

This thanksgiving, I used cranberry jalapeno jam the best combination yet

For Easter, I used peach habanero jam. Turned out great with an added bite to it

I make this ham in a slow cooker, I am able to prepare it ahead of time and it turns out great
