3 cups cooked sweet potatoes (fresh or canned).
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 eggs beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup milk (2% or whole)

Praline Crumble:
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:

For the sweet potatoes:
Mash the potatoes in a large bowl until fairly smooth. Mix in sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla, and milk. Put in a 9x13" baking dish.

For the praline crumble:
Mix all dry ingredients together. Pour in melted butter and stir until combined. Crumble mixture over the top of the sweet potatoes. Bake for 25 minutes at 350F.

I prefer to use fresh sweet potatoes that I bake or boil. The canned sweet potatoes tend to make the dish very sweet. Fresh cooked sweet potatoes lend just the right sweetness and texture to the dish. It takes a little longer to prepare, but it's worth it!
