Ingredients:
Ingredients:
6 cups Flour
1 ½ tsp Salt
¼ cup Crisco© Shortening
½ cup Sugar
1 large Egg
2 cups warm water
2 packages Dry Yeast
4 tbsp Butter, melted

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add in egg, shortening and dry ingredients. Mix with hands until a ball is formed. Cover bowl with a dish towel and let rise until double in size, about 1 hour. Knead just a few times. Over kneading will cause dough to become tough. Pinch off enough dough to make a ball roughly 1 ½ inch in diameter. Coat each ball with melted butter and place 3 balls in each cup of a cupcake pan. This makes a cloverleaf role. Cover and place pan in a warm spot to rise again. Times will vary, but should be ready to bake when dough has risen to about 1 inch above rim of cup. Brush liberally with melted butter and bake in a 350 °F oven for about 20 minutes or until nicely browned. Keep an eye on them as they can burn quickly. Makes about 18 Rolls.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Mom always made these rolls for the holidays and they were a family favorite. I've tried to carry on the tradition and am always asked to bring the rolls when there's a family get-together for the holidays. They take some time, but it's worth it.
