1 onion, chopped
3 T butter
9 C red cabbage, shredded
1 large tart apple, diced
t T cider vinegar
1 C water
3 T brown sugar
1 T caraway seed
1 1/4 t salt
1 t pepper
1/3 C raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Cook onion in butter for 5 minutes.
Add cabbage, cover and cook for 5 minutes longer.
Add remaining ingredients.
Cover and simmer for about 10 minutes.
