4 c. flour
1 3/4 c. Crisco
1 T. sugar
2 tsp. salt

1/2 c. water
1 T. apple cider vinegar
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the flour, sugar and salt. Use a pastry blender, or two forks, and cut the Crisco into the flour until there are pea-sized chucks of batter.

Mix the water, vinegar and egg.

Combine the wet and dry ingredients by hand, and mix until moist.
Chill at least 15 minutes before rolling out onto a floured surface for pie shell.

This crust is much easier to handle than traditional crust. It still takes some practice, but well worth the effort. Any scraps can be sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar and baked on a cookie sheet!
The dough may also be formed into discs and frozen. When ready to use, just thaw, roll and fill!
