2 c. flour
1/4 c. cold butter
1 c.old grated cheddar
1 Tblsp. grated lemon zest (can omit if not available)

4 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. sale, 1 Tblsp. sugar.

1 c. milk

1 beaten egg

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first 4 ingredients.
Add next 3 ingredients.

Toss lightly, then add 1 c. milk and mix well.

Roll out 1/2" thick on floured surface.
Cut as desired. I use a glass.

Brush tops with beaten egg before baking.

Bake at 400º for about 10-12 mins.
