¼ cup Butter
1 cup Sugar
3 Eggs
⅓ cup light Corn Syrup
1 ½ tsp Vanilla
¼ tsp Salt
2 tbsp Bourbon
1 cup Chocolate Chips
½ cup Chopped Pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare and place a single pie crust in a pie pan. Prick the crust with a fork and bake in a 425 °F oven for 5 minutes or until lightly browned. Set aside. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar with an electric mixer until creamy. Add eggs and then mix in next 4 ingredients. Beat until blended. Sprinkle nuts and chocolate chips in pie crust and pour filing over top. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until set.

I wasn't in Louisville very long before I discovered Derby pie. People there consider it a birthright, and I don't blame them. It's delicious.
