2/3 cup sugar
dash salt
1 cup Golden Eagle Syrup (or light corn syrup)
1/3 cup melted butter
1 cup pecan halves, or chopped pecans

1 pie crust, 9 inch, unbaked

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all the ingredients, eggs first, pecans last. Pour them into the unbaked pie crust.

Bake for 50 minutes or until the filling is set (knife blade comes out clean). Allow to cool.

Golden Eagle is our secret recipe. The more traditional version would use dark corn syrup; we like the light, or best of all the Golden Eagle, which has a touch of honey.
