12 oz Corn Chex
10 oz Cheerios
12 oz Rice Chex
12 oz Pretzel ball or pretzel sticks
3/4 C sugar
1/3 C Agave syrup
3/4 C canola oil
1 C melted butter
4 T reduced sodium soy sauce
2 T balsamic vinegar
2 T garlic salt

Want gluten free? - use gluten free pretzels and soy sauce

Combine dry ingredients into large bowl (microwavable if you are not going to cook in oven.) Combine all the rest of ingredients in a 4 cup Pyrex measuring cup or small sauce pan and heat until combined. Pour liquid ingredients over the dry and toss to mix.

Transfer to large roasting pan(s). Bake uncovered for 1 1/4 hour at 275º mixing every 15 minutes. Cool slightly and add 1-2 cups M&Ms and 1-2 cups Craisins or dried cherries. Pour onto wax paper or paper towels to cool. [if microwaving, microwave 1-2 minutes, stir and repeat until liquid mixture is absorbed then follow directions]

Store in air-tight tins or bags.

This was a Chex mix adapted for those in the family who can't have nuts but miss the holiday taste of this traditional snack food.
