1 C Crisco
1 C sugar
1 C brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 C flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
3 C old fashioned oats
1 C walnuts, chopped (optional)
1 C raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Beat sugars and Crisco until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; add to shortening mixture; mix well. Stir in oats, nuts and raisins. Using rounded tablespoon, roll dough into balls and place 2" apart on greased cookie sheet; flatten slightly with fork. Bake 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute before removing to cooling rack.
