Heat together 1 1/4 cup of milk; dissolve 1/2 lb. cheddar cheese in it
1 T. salt
3 T. sugar
2 T. shortening (not oil)
2 pkgs. dry yeast in 1/2 cup warm water
2 eggs - beaten
5 1/2 cups of all purpose flour

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve cheese in milk. Dissolve yeast in water. Mix together yeast, salt, sugar, shortening, and eggs. Add milk/cheese mixture. Add flour and knead dough until elastic. Place in bowl and let rise for 1 1/2 hours or until double. Knead dough again and divide into 2 pans. Let rise. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
