Dough 2 Cups of flour

¾ cup of Crisco or lard
½ tsp. salt

½ tsp. of baking powder

½ tsp.lemon juice

2 egg yolks
Filling 3 lbs. apples

½ cup water

1 cup sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch

¼ cup warm water

1 tsp. Cinnamon.

Crust-Cut Crisco into flour the take less than 1/2 c.water, lemon juice and yolks then beat with a fork, sprinkle over flour mixture; blend together until smooth, Put dough in fridge for 5-10 minutes. roll out more than half the dough for the bottom of a 9x13 pan. Add filling with tabs of butter on top of filling. Then roll remainder of dough for top of filling. pinch together and vent top. take egg whites and milk mix together and brush top crust for a golden brown crust. Bake in a 450 degree oven for about 30 minutes. Filling- Put in a pan the water, sugar, cinnamon and salt. t this come to a boil then put apples in for 2 minutes. Then mix the 1/4 c water with cornstarch, add to pan and stir without and let set. Make a glaze with blended powdered sugar, water or milk and white vanilla. pour over cooled slices
