2 dozen cherrystone clams
1/2 green pepper, minced
1 small onion, minced
3 tbs butter
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1/2 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp marjoram
3 slices raw bacon, minced

Directions:
Directions:
Scrub clams and steam open. Save shells and about 1/2 cup broth. Cook pepper and onion in hot butter for 2 minutes. Add clams, crumbs and seasonings. If mixture seems too dry add a little clam broth. Put in as many shells as needed. Sprinkle each with bacon. Brown under broiler 10-12 minutes.
