3 T corn oil
1/2 c yellow popcorn kernels
(Omit oil if you pop the corn in hot air popper)

Carmel syrup:
1/2 c butter
1 c brown sugar (packed)
1/4 c corn syrup
1/2 t salt
1/2 t vanilla
1/4 c baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
heat oven 250º

Pop corn. Put on a cookie sheet and keep warm in oven.

Carmel syrup:
In large sauce pan melt butter. Sir in sugar, salt corn syrup bring to a boil. Boil exactly 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda. In a large bowl mix warm popcorn and caramel syrup to cover. Spread in one layer on greased cookie sheet. Bake turning 2-3 times for 25 minutes. It should be crunchy not chewy. Be careful don't let it burn.

We took this to the drive-in. If you want to know if you have baked it enough after 25 min. take some out let them cool to see if they are crunchy.
