1 large head of broccoli

1 bag of frozen Cavatelli

6 - 8 cloves of garlic minced

About a cup of good chicken broth or stock (enough to cover the bottom of the pan by about 3/4 of an inch.

olive oil (or my favorite, Wegman's basting oil)

onion powder (to taste)

1/2 packet of Sazon Goya with saffron (it's not very Italian but it adds a little something)

Garlic Garlic or garlic powder to taste

lots of grated cheese!

salt and pepper to taste

Cover the bottom of a large skillet with oil, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Chop broccoli into bite size pieces and add to the pan.
Saute for several minutes tossing in the oil and garlic to coat.
Add seasonings and mix well.
Add the chicken broth and simmer covered just until broccoli is tender crisp.
Cook the Cavatelli as directed on the package, drain and add to the broccoli mixture.
Sprinkle cheese over everything and dig in!
