2 c self rising flour
pinch of salt
1 egg
2 c cornbread mix
1 1/2 T sugar
Onion powder
Canned milk
Water to consistency

Directions:

Mix all ingredients so that it will hold together when it is dipped for frying. Fry in 375 degree oil until browned.

Betty Mills was another true pioneer lady of Okeechobee. She was married to cowboy Jr. Mills. Junior was the man who hand made bull whips and sold them for upwards of $200 each. He was also the person who guided my brother toward veterinary medicine.
