1 c flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 c ganulated sugar
2 tbsp cocoa
1/2 c milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp melted shortening

Topping:
3/4 c brown sugar
1/4 c cocoa
1 3/4 c hot water

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and cocoa. Add milk, vanilla and shortening. Mix until smooth. Pour into 8" square pan. Mix brown sugar, cocoa and sprinkle over batter. Pour hot water very carefully over batter.

Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
