1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup white sugar
1 tbsp Ammonium Carbonate (drug store at pharmacy)

2 egg yolks
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup soft margarine
1 cup cream (farm or whipping)
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
4 - 5 cup flour

Directions:

Heat evaporated milk and sugar. When lukewarm, add next 3 ingredients. Beat. Add margarine/butter and cream. Mix. Add baking soda, spices and vanilla. Mix. Add enough flour to make a soft dough. Roll in long wiener-size rolls. Put on pan and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate or freeze. To bake cut into 1/2 inch pieces. You can put them close together on a cookie sheet, as these don’t spread a lot. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Cookie is very soft and not browned on top when finished.
