2 T Butter
2 T Flour
1 1/2 C Milk
1 Jar (8oz) Dried Beef
Pinch of Black Pepper
Pinch of Sugar

Directions:
In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Whisk in flour all at once to form a roux. Whisk in milk, a little at a time, increase heat to medium-high, and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Do not let it boil or the milk will curdle, stir in beef, pepper & sugar. Heat through and serve over toast.
