2 cups raisins
1 cup margarine
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
vanilla

4 cups flour
1/2 cup oatmeal
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
salt
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp allspice

Directions:
Directions:
Measure the 2 cups raisins and add a tbsp or 2 of water, cover, and heat in the microwave about 2 minutes.
Cream 1 cup margarine, 2 cups sugar, 3 eggs and vanill.

Add raisins, then stir in 4 cups flour, 1/2 cup oatmeal, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice.

Mix well and drop from a teaspoon onto greased cookie sheets. Flatten with fork. Bake @ 360° 15-20 minutes.

These are soft cookies, rather than crisp ones. They make a nice contrast on a cookie plate.
