Directions:
Soften yeast in lukewarm water. Scald milk; add sugar & salt to the hot milk; cool to lukewarm. Add 2 cups flour & mix well. Add softened yeast, eggs & grated lemon peel. Beat well. Add melted butter, mix well & add enough flour to make a soft dough. Turn out on lightly floured board & knead until smooth. Place in a greased bowl. Cover & let rise until about doubled in bulk, punch down. Shape tea rings, rolls or coffee cakes. Shape in tea ring & close together & slash around the ring & lay on it's side. Let rise until doubled. Bake in 325 to 375 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes, depending on size. This will make 2 - 12 inch tea rings, 3-1/2 dozen rolls, 2 flower coffee cakes. Drizzle with a light powdered sugar frosting after cool & place maraschino cherries & nuts over the tea ring too. Also, before rolling the tea ring, spread brown sugar & cinnamon on the flat ring before rolling & cutting to almost through to center.
