Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 or 5 lbs. of chuck roast, cut in cubes
1/2 bag of small, frozen onions or 2 or 3 whole onions
2 or 3 jars of small mushrooms
1 cup of red wine (cooking wine)
1 can of consume
1 pinch of thyme

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat and season with salt and pepper. Add consume and wine and a pinch of thyme.
Cover and cook for 2 hrs. at 350º.
Add mushrooms and onions and cook for 1 more hour.
I usually use enough of the wine and consume to cover the amount of meat I have so it doesn't dry out and I serve it over rice.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This recipe comes from Mary Canney, a golf pro, who used to stay with us in Marietta when she came from VA to play in the Lady Tara Open. She won both the VA and MD State Amateur Golf Championships. I always admired Mary, because she was playing on the tour, married to a golf pro and raising 4 daughters. She could do it all!
