1 cup baking mix
½ heaping cup of shredded cheddar cheese
⅔ cup milk

3 tablespoons butter
¼ teaspoon garlic powder

Preheat oven to 450º. Grease a cookie sheet lightly with cooking spray or line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

Blend the first 3 ingredients in a large mixing bowl with a wooden spoon until a soft dough forms. Beat dough vigorously for 30 seconds.

Drop dough by spoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto one cookie sheet. You should have 15 or 16 biscuits. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Meanwhile, in a small saucepan on low heat, melt: 3 tablespoons butter Mix in ¼ teaspoon garlic powder. Remove from heat. When biscuits are done, keep them on the cookie sheet and poke holes on the top of each one with a toothpick. Brush butter-garlic mixture on warm biscuits. Serve warm.
