Ingredients:  
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup softened butter
1 beaten egg
1 cup milk
2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
peeled, sliced apples
cinnamon and sugar to sprinkle on top

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together, except apples.
Pour into a greased 8 x 8 inch pan.
Push apple slices into dough to cover the pan.
Sprinkle top with cinnamon and sugar.
Bake at 350º till apples are soft and top is just starting to brown.

Serve warm with Ice cream or whipped cream.
