3 cups of sugar
3/4 cup (11/2 sticks) butter
1 can (5 ounces) evaporated milk
11/2 package (12 squares) Baker's semi-sweet chocolate
1 jar (7 ounces) Jet Puffed Marshmallow creme
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/4 to 1/2 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Line 9 inch square pan with foil. Bring sugar, butter and milk to full rolling boil in a large saucepan on medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil 4 full minutes or until 234 degrees F on a candy thermometer is reached. Remove from heat. Add chocolate and Marshmallow creme. Stir until melted. Stir in chopped nuts and vanilla. Pour into prepared pan and cool.

Always made this fudge for Christmas. I would make it a week before Christmas and try to hide it for the big day, but Mary and Scott would always find it! Even when it was hidden at the bottom of the dirty clothes basket.
