1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter or mararine

3 beaten eggs
11/2 cups brown sugar
2 Tbsp flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp Baking Powder
Vanilla
1 cup coconut
1 cup walnut pieces

Directions:

Bottom:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter or margarine
cut together until mixture is mealy. Press into 8"x8" pan.
Bake 15 minutes @ 350° before adding topping.

Topping:
3 beaten eggs
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 Tbsp flour
1/2 tsp salt
vanilla
1 cup coconut
Beat together. Spread over baked bottom layer. Bake 350° 30 minutes. when cool ice with white icing.

This is a very old recipe. In 1954 squares were very new and everyone was making this different dessert. I still make it every year as part of my Christmas routine.
