1 cup butter Must be butter. Unsalted is best.
11/2 cups flour
12 cup icing sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients and beat for 10 minutes.
Drop from teaspoon onto cookie sheet.
Decorate if you wish with bits of glazed cherries.

Bake at 350° for approximately 17 minutes until bottoms are lightly browned.

All shortbread MUST be made with butter. That is where the awesome flavour comes from. These are quick and easy and you can make batch after batch until you run out of butter. The secret is in the beating so adhere to the recipe.
