2 Cups Granulated Sugar
1 Cup Milk

2/3 Cup Dates (chopped)
1/2 Cup Coconut
1/2 Cup Nuts (chopped)

Directions:
Directions:
In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar and milk; cook to soft ball stage on candy thermometer.
Add dates and cook until mixture leaves side of pan. Remove from heat; add coconut and nuts. Beat as long as you can.

Roll dough in damp linen cloth. Let set until it will slice. Wrap in waxed paper or foil.
