2 Cups Sugar
1 Cup Butter
1 3/4 Cup Light Corn Syrup
1 Tall Can Evaporated Milk
4 tsp Vanilla

1 Cup Finely Chopped Nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, butter, syrup and evaporated milk in large saucepan. Cook over high heat, stirring frequently, to 210 º F. Reduce heat to medium. Continue cooking and stirring constantly to hard ball stage. Remove from heat and add vanilla and nuts. Stir quickly.

Pour into well buttered pan. When thoroughly cold place candy on cutting board and cut into small squares. NOTE: Cut before too cold. Put in sheet cake pan.

Wrap each piece in waxed paper, twisting ends.
