1 cup margarine
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup white karo syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch salt
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
6 quarts popped corn
1 jar dry roasted peanuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the first 6 ingredients and bring to a boil. Cook 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add soda . Mix immediately with popped corn and nuts until well coated. Spread onto buttered jelly roll pans and bake 1 1/2 hours at 200 degrees. Cool in oven and store in plastic bags or tight containers.
