9-10 small apples or 3-4 large apples (Granny Smith)
3/4 C. Sugar
2 T. Brown Sugar
1 t. Cinnamon
1 T. Flour
1/3 t. Salt
1/2 stick Butter

Crust:
3 C. Flour
1 C. Shortening
1 t. Salt
1 egg Beaten
2 T. Lemon Juice
4 T. Cold Water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix ingredients for crust and roll into two balls. Place a large square of wax paper on counter. With rolling pin, roll ball into a large thin large circle on wax paper. Flip pie crust from wax paper to pie baking dish.

Layer apples and all other dry ingredients sprinkled on top of apples. Top with butter.

Roll 2nd ball of crust onto wax paper. Make thin strips of crust. Place over apples in a criss cross pattern.

Bake at 400º.for 40 minutes. Let set for 2 hours before serving
