2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 Cup Butter or Margarine (softened)
1 Cup Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
2 Eggs
1 Tbl Cream

Directions:
Sift flour and baking powder together and set aside. Put margarine in a mixing bowl and cream it until soft. Gradually add sugar, and beat until light. Put in vanilla and stir until well mixed. Beat the eggs, and then add them and the cream to the butter - sugar mixture. Stir until well mixed. Add flour-baking powder mixture and mix well. Put dough in refrigerator to chill. THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT STEP IN MAKING ROLLED COOKIES. If dough is thoroughly chilled, it will take less flour to roll it out.

To keep cookies tender, add the least possible amount of flour while rolling the dough. Roll out chilled dough on a floured pastry sheet. Use only about 1/4 of the dough each time you roll it. Keep remainder of dough refrigerated. Flour rolling pin slightly; then roll lightly, lifting the rolling pin frequently and rolling in a different direction each time until dough is 1/8 inch thick. Cut cookies . Place on greased cookie sheet Gather up trimmings after each rolling of dough. Save them until last, then roll them together and re-cut.

Bake at 400º for 10 mins. Cool cookies on a rack. Frost.
