1 Cup Flour
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 Cup Fat (be sure it is soft)
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp Vanilla
2 Tbl Milk
2 Cups Rolled Oats (regular or quick)
Chopped Nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, soda and salt together and set aside. Put fat, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, vanilla, and milk into mixing bowl and blend. Add flour mixture and mix until very smooth. Add the rolled oats, and stir until mixed well. Add nuts, if wanted. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet -- use one spoon to dip out and another spoon to push dough onto cookie sheet. Leave about 2 inches between cookies.

Bake at 375º for 12 to 15 minutes.

Should make about 36 cookies.
