2 1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 tsp nutmeg
2 cup self rising flour
2 eggs
1/2 cup shortening
1/4 tsp allspice
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
2 cup apples, peel and chop
1 cup rhubarb, dice
1/2 cup nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare 9" x 13" cake pan.
Cream shortening and sugar in large mixing bowl.
Add eggs and beat well.
Stir together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture
Add apples, rhubarb and nuts.
Mix well.
Batter will be stiff.
Bake 45 to 50 min. in 350* oven.
