1 gallon sliced cucumbers
2 bell peppers (chopped)
9 onions (sliced)
1/2 cup salt
5 cups sugar
5 cups vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 Tbsp. celery seed
2 Tbsp. mustard seed

Directions:
Directions:
Cover vegetables with salt, cover with cracked ice and towel and let let for 3 hours. Drain, rinse 3 times in cold water.
Make syrup of remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, drop cucumber mixture into syrup, return to boil and boil until color change. Pack in jars, cover with syrup and seal.
