2 (4 oz) bottles of mustard
2 (32 oz) Ketchup
1 qt. apple cider vinegar
1 Texas Pete or 1/2 large Texas Pete
1 (1 lb.) bag dark brown sugar
Salt to taste
2 Tbsp. Black pepper
1 to 1 1/2 Tbsp. ground red pepper (McCormack)--not Cayenne
1 stick butter

Mix ketchup and mustard together until well blended. Add remaining ingredients. Cook 1 hour or more until thick. Stir often. Do not cover.
