Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Half a ham
Whole cloves
2 - 3 tablespoons flour
Water (use water from cooking the potatoes if you have it)
Kitchen Bouquet
Can of ham gravy (if desired)

Directions:
Directions:
For half a ham (bone in or boneless), plan to cook for 18-25 minutes per pound
Preheat oven to 325º. Score the fat end of the ham into diamond shapes. Stick a clove into each section. Place prepared ham on a rack in a roasting pan and place in oven. Do not cover. When done, let the ham sit for 20 to 30 minutes before slicing to let the juices re-absorb. Remove it from the roasting pan onto your serving dish so you can make gravy.
Gravy: Keep drippings from the ham in the roasting pan. Stir in flour and heat over two burners. Add some of the water slowly as you stir to prevent lumps. Continue to stir and add water until you get the right consistency. Add a can of store bought gravy and a little Kitchen Bouquet for extra flavor.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Easter dinner! The second best thing about a good ham was the bone…..it meant we would get to have bean soup soon!
Easter was a big fashion event for our family, a tradition lasting well into our teen years. We always got new clothes to wear, and when we were young those new clothes were usually handmade, matching outfits created by our Grandma Malee. She was a gifted seamstress and those Easter packages were always a source of much excitement!
