1 cup flour

2 tsp. Baking soda

1 tsp' Baking Powder

1/2 tsp. salt

1 cup shortening or Margarine ( no salt needed if you use margarine)

2 cups Cornflakes or Special K

1 cup sugar

1 cup brown sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp. Vanilla

2 cups uncooked, quick cooking oats

1 6 oz. package of either chocolate chips, raisins or Heath Bar Crunch chips

Directions:

Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream shortening (or Margarine) and sugars. Beat in eggs and vanilla.

Add flour mixture and mix well. Stir in Oats, cereal and chips or raisins.

Drop in heaping Tablespoons onto lightly greased cookie sheet.

Bake in preheated 325º oven for 12 - 14 minutes. Cool on cookie sheet for 2 minutes and transfer to wire rack to finish cooling.
