1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons grated lemon peel (optional)

Heat waffle iron to medium high heat. In large bowl, using wire whisk or rotary beater, beat egg yolks until light yellow color (1 to 2 minutes). Stir in all remaining waffle ingredients except egg whites just until moistened. In small mixer bowl beat egg whites at high speed, scraping bowl often, until stiff peaks form (1 to 1 1/2 minutes). Gently fold beaten egg whites into waffle mixture. Pour batter onto center of hot waffle iron. Bake according to waffle iron directions or until golden brown (4 to 6 Minutes.)
