French or Italian Bread
Garlic butter (see Note)
Salami
Mozzarella Cheese
Butter

Directions:
Directions:
Cut bread in fairly thick slices and spread lightly with garlic butter. Top half of slices with thin slices of salami and a thin slice of cheese. Top with remaining slices of bread and spread outside of sandwich with more garlic butter. Put in warm heavy skillet or on sandwich grill and cook until golden brown on both sides. Serve hot.

One small mashed clove of garlic added to 1/2 c soft butter makes good garlic butter.
