1 c, 250 ml Robin Hood All-Purpose Flour
1 tbsp., 15 ml granulated sugar
2 tsp, 10 ml baking powder
2 eggs, well beaten
1 1/2 c, 375 ml milk
10-12 slices of bread, butter for frying, sifted icing sugar, Maple Butter, Honey Butter of syrup.

1/2 c, 125 ml softened butter
1/2 c, 125 ml maple syrup or honey

French Toast
Combine flour, sugar and baking powder in a mixing bowl. Stir well. Beat eggs and milk together thoroughly. Add to flour mixture, blending until smooth. Pour into a flat dish. Preheat lightly buttered griddle or large frying pan over medium heat. Dip bread into batter to coat thoroughly. Cook on hot griddle until golden brown on both sides. Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve warm with Maple Butter, Honey, Butter or syrup.

Beat softened butter until smooth. Gradually add maple syrup or honey, beating until light and fluffy.

Traditional French toast taste inside, with a puffy batter outside.

Do Ahead Tip - Prepare French toast. Cool. Wrap and refrigerate or freeze until firm on baking sheet, then stack and store in freezer bags. Reheat in a toaster, microwave (1 to 1 1/2 minutes for 2 pieces) or in a 400 degree F or 200 degree C oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
