8 slices bacon
1 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
16 ounce can tomatoes
1-1/2 cups water
3/4 cup uncooked long grain rice
1/2 cup chili sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Dash of pepper

Directions:
Directions:
In a 10 inch skillet, brown 8 slices of bacon until crisp; remove from pan and drain on paper towels. Pour off half the fat. In the remaining fat, cook chopped onion and green pepper until soft but not brown. Add tomatoes, water, rice, chili sauce, salt, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and a dash of pepper. Cover and simmer 35 – 40 minutes until the rice is cooked. Crumble the bacon over the top. Makes 6 servings.
