2 tbsp oil
2 onions
4 garlic
2 celery stalks
salt/pepper
1tsp turmeric
1 tsp cumin
1tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground ginger
6 cups water
1 cup red lentils: rinsed
1 tbsp tomato paste
2 potatoes chopped
1 can chopped tomatoes
1 cup frozen peas or corn

sour cream and parsley to garnish if desired.

Directions:

Fry onions, garlic and celery in oil.
Add all other ingredients.
Simmer 20-30 mins
