3 c. hot water
2/3 c. sugar
2 heaping T. shortening
3 envelopes dry yeast
3 t. salt

2 beaten eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together in large crock or bowl. Add flour to make batter. Add two beaten eggs and mix well. Add flour to make dough as stiff as can be mixed with a tablespoon. Let rise to almost double; stir down and let rise again. Dump onto well floured board and knead until smooth. Form into balls and place in well-greased pan. Let rise until almost double in size. Bake about 35 minutes in 350 oven.
