In a bowl; mix
yeast
1/4 c. Warm water
1/2 tsp. sugar

In mixer
1 egg
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1 c. hot water
3 tbls. Crisco - melted
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Add 2 c. flour to mixer
Add yeast mixture
Switch to dough hook
Add 4 more c. flour (add one at a time so flour mixes in well)
Continue to mix on low up to 10 minutes. Dough will start to pull away from sides
Grease big Tupperware bowl with Crisco
Put dough in center, grease hands and make a ball by pushing it up against sides
Cover and let rise till more than double in size, 2-3hours
Grease muffin tins
Roll balls 1-1 1/2 in. and place 3 in a muffin cup.
Let rise until double size.
Bake at 350º for 14 minutes
brush butter on tops when out of oven, cool on rack.
