1 c shortening
1 c sugar
1 c brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c flour
1 t soda
1 t salt
1/2 t Baking Powder
1 t vanilla
2 c oatmeal
1 pkg chocolate chips
1 T water (if needed)
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugars. Beat eggs separately, and add to cream mixtures. . Add dry ingredients to wet. Add oatmeal, beat by hand. Add choc. chips. May add coconut, 375or nuts as desired.
Drop by tablespoon unto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes at 375º. Remove to cooling rakes. ( Bake at a lower temp. for softer cookie.)
