1 onion chopped
1 cup leek chopped
2 cloves garlic
3 carrots thinly sliced
1 bay leaf
2 tbsp butter
2 large sweet potatoes
2 white potatoes
5 cups chicken broth ( more if too thick)
3/4 cups white wine
1 1/2 cups water

3/4 cups pecans
1 tbsp butter

Directions:
Directions:
In large pot, cook onions, garlic, carrot, leeks and bay leaf in butter. Add salt and pepper.
Add potatoes, broth, wine and water. Simmer 20 mins until tender. DISCARD bay leaf.
Puree or blend till smooth. Season with salt and pepper.

Top with buttered pecans and/or chives if desired and a little sour cream.
