1 cup softened butter (2 sticks)
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 cup pecan butter
3/4 cups white sugar
3/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
2 cups flour
1 cup rolled oats
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 bag semi sweet chocolate chips
6oz pecan pieces

Since this calls for pecan butter and it's not easily found or readily available you can make your own.

how to make pecan butter:

16 oz pecan halves spread on a cookie sheet. cook at 250F for 20 minutes and spin in a food processor until smooth.

combine butter, egg, sugar, vanilla in a mixing bowl and mix until combined smooth (also known as "creaming"). Add pecan butter and combine until smooth.

combine remaining dry ingredients in a separate bowl.

on low speed add dry ingredients to the creamed sugar mixture until fully incorporated. add nuts and chocolate and mix until fully combined.

cook at 375F for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown. cool for 2 minutes on the cookie sheet and an additional 10 on a wire rack.
