1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion chopped
1 or 2 clove garlic chopped or minced
30 to 40 ounces of tomatoes (petite chopped or crushed)
2 cups water
15 oz can kidney beans
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 Tbsp chili powder
1/c chopped celery
2 cups thinly sliced cabbage

Directions:

1. saute beef, onions, garlic and celery in skillet
2. combine all ingredients, except cabbage, in slow cooker or deep pot.
3. Cover and cook on low for 3 hours.
4. add cabbage and cook on high 30 minutes to an hour. You will need to add more salt and pepper after the cabbage - to taste.
