Ingredients:
2 cups golden raisins
1/2 cup dark raisins
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup brandy
1 cinnamon stick

Directions:
Directions:
Wash the raisins and soak in some warm water. Drain and place in a glass jar.

Heat the sugar with the water and bring to a boil.

Simmer for a couple of minutes, then set aside to cool.

Stir in the brandy and pour over the raisins, making sure the raisins are fully covered.

If there is not enough liquid, make another batch of syrup.

Add the cinnamon stick, cover and let sit in a cool, dark place for four weeks before sampling. Don't put in refrigerator as the sugar crystallizes.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Good with ice cream or a cookie.
Can also serve with a pound cake.
Lasts for months in the refrigerator.

Trader Joe's has a package of mixed jumbo raisins - these work perfectly for 1 quart jar. Make double the brandy-sugar water.
